On June 26th, during the Energy Ministers Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Chen Qi, chairman of WINDEY , held bilateral meetings with senior energy officials from Azerbaijan, Egypt, and Kyrgyzstan respectively. They deeply discussed cooperation opportunities in the new energy sector and vowed to jointly promote international green energy transition. As an important platform for promoting energy cooperation between Asia and Europe, the SCO Energy Ministers Meeting continues to deepen the collaboration among member states of SCO in such domains as energy security and new energy development.

Azerbaijan: Focusing on 30% Clean Energy Target to Discuss Wind-Solar Project Cooperation

During the talks with Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov, the two sides, centering on Azerbaijan's national goal of “Increasing the share of renewable energy to 30% by 2030”, highlighted the cooperation prospect for wind power and photovoltaic projects. The Azerbaijani side elaborated on a package of investment promotion measures, including tax exemption and foreign investment incentives, and spoke highly of new energy projects implemented by Chinese enterprises in Azerbaijan. Chen Qi gave a detailed account of WINDEY 's global business planning and comprehensive service capabilities for the life cycle of new energy, expressing a clear willingness to participate in Azerbaijan's clean energy development. The two sides reached a preliminary consensus on the arrangement for the subsequent project matchmaking.

Egypt: Further Fulfilling Green Hydrogen and Wind Power Strategies to Build a Long-Term Collaboration Mechanism

In exchanges with Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister of Egypt Mahmoud Asmat (transliteration), the Egyptian side systematically expounded its strategic planning to build an African green hydrogen and electricity export center, aiming to achieve 42% renewable energy power generation in total power generation by 2030, with a focus on promoting wind power and green hydrogen projects. The Egyptian side also introduced the progress of energy storage systems and smart grid reforms. Chen Qi stated that WINDEY will leverage its technological and solution advantages in the fields of wind power and hydrogen energy to actively respond to Egypt's energy transition strategy and promote the implementation of project cooperation as soon as possible. The two sides exchanged views on establishing a normalized communication mechanism.

Kyrgyzstan: Addressing Challenges in Electricity Import to Build a Central Asian "Green Artery"

In the meeting with Deputy Energy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Emilbek Ismanov and Deputy General Manager of the National Electric Power Company Ilgiz Sydgaliev (transliteration), the two sides focused on discussions over the policy environment, electricity market mechanisms, and project implementation challenges for renewable energy development in Central Asia. The Kyrgyz side pointed out that Kyrgyzstan currently relies on electricity imports and is thirsty for developing new energy power projects, so it expects Chinese enterprises to increase their participation. Chen Qi shared WINDEY 's rich project experience and successful cases in the Central Asian market, expressing his faith in deepening long-term cooperation in Kyrgyzstan. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on key issues such as the interpretation of supporting bills, the improvement of project financing feasibility, and the construction of cross-departmental coordination mechanism.

This series of high-level meetings has further enhanced the mutual trust and cooperation consensus between WINDEY and SCO member states in the field of green energy, laying a firm foundation for the implementation of follow-up key projects. As a global leading new energy equipment manufacturer and service provider, WINDEY, with an open-minded and pragmatic attitude, will deeply exploit core regional markets such as Asia-Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, and work with global partners to advance the green energy structure transition and contribute Chinese strength to global sustainable development.
